From the beginning of the adventure, Laetitia wanted to create a project with sense. Motivated by the desire to manufacture innovative, beautiful, quality and MADE IN MEXICO products, she visits several factories, explains her vision, her ideas and manages to persuade some partners to follow her in this project. In 2015, the first MADE IN MEXICO beach towels leave the Mexican factories.

From sourcing to manufacturing, Las Bayadas brand continues to privilege short circuits and Mexican craftsmanship. Laetitia and her teams work with family businesses throughout Mexico. Season after season, they imagine together new MADE IN MEXICO products and participate in the growth of small actors of the textile industry in Mexico.

A social and innovative production model

Las Bayadas products are made by the "Escuela y Taller de costura de Puerto Vallarta" workshop. This production cooperative supports the professional retraining of disadvantaged people through sewing courses, technical training in specialized equipment management and the job creation in the city of Puerto Vallarta.

This social project provides a quality sewing service whose income goes directly to the seamstresses, women of the community, and thus contributes to the well-being of many families in Puerto Vallarta.

The fact of supporting women's rights and their access to the same resources and opportunities as men changes their lives, those of their community and positively impacts an entire society. Mexico, although it has a relatively high proportion of women in the labor market, is far behind an industrialized country like Canada.

Sensitive to gender inequality, Las Bayadas has devised a business model that gives priority to women. In 2023, all our employees are women and mothers to whom we adapt to allow them to reconcile work and family in a sustainable way.

Recycled cotton

The use of recycled fibers allows us to benefit from quality raw materials while reducing water consumption and CO2 emissions. This considerably reduces the fashion industry impact on the environment, a major issue for the future.

This is why the cotton used in the Las Bayadas textiles is recycled in Mexico and certified "Global recycled Standard". This label guarantees, among other things, traceability and the respect of environmental and social criteria.
